The Buffalo Medical Group, P.C., is committed to providing you with the highest quality
medical and surgical care. Founded in 1946, the BMG is among the oldest and largest multi-specialty physician group practices in New York State with more than 110 specialists and sub
specialists. Together with our team of nurses, therapists, other health care professionals and
support staff, we are dedicated to delivering a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment
services in a compassionate and comfortable environment.
As a BMG patient you will benefit from the extensive experience and expertise of our
physicians and support staff, and will always be treated with dignity and respect. We take
pride in our ability to deliver high-tech care with a personal touch.
At the Buffalo Medical Group we use a “multidisciplinary approach” to deliver patient care.
This means that our physicians and health care professionals
often work as a team to provide your care. If your care
requires you to be seen by more than one physician, we
can often eliminate the need for multiple visits to various
locations by scheduling appointments for you within
the Group on the same day.
Patients who received the Hepatitis A
vaccine at an Erie County Department of Health (ECDOH) sponsored
clinic during the hepatitis scare this past February, should contact
their primary care physician to determine if they are a candidate
for a second vaccine.
The health department began
administering the first vaccines on February 9, 2008, shortly after
being notified that a produce worker at a
Wegmans store in Williamsville was diagnosed with Hepatitis
A. More than 10,000 people were immunized over a five-day period.
Although not everyone is required to
receive a second dose of the vaccine, those who are, must wait at
least six months after the initial dose. Your primary care
physician will be able to advise you if a second dose of the vaccine
is necessary.
Buffalo Medical Group will be
conducting clinics after August 9, 2008 to give the second dose to
patients. Please check our website
www.buffalomedicalgroup.com after July 7, 2008 for more
information.
Patients who received the Immune
Globulin do not require further vaccination.
