Dr. Richard G. Bennett joined the Buffalo Medical Group in July 1997 after completing a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio.

He received his medical degree at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and did his residency in psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine/University Hospitals of Cleveland, where he served as executive chief resident from 1995-96. Dr. Bennett also is trained in electro-convulsive therapy.

He is board certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a member of the Geriatric Psychiatric Association and the New York Psychiatric Association.

Currently, he on staff at The Buffalo General Hospital and Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital, and also is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UB.
