A member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, since 1995, Dr. August
A. Bruno, Jr., is board certified by the American Board of
Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He earned his medical degree cum laude at the University at Buffalo
(UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and completed his
specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at UB-affiliated
hospitals. During his residency he earned awards for academic and
clinical excellence.
Dr. Bruno is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics &
Gynecology, and is a member of the Buffalo Gynecologic and Obstetric
Society, and has served as vice president, secretary and treasurer
of the organization.
He served as director of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Mercy Hospital
from 1997-2004, and continues as a member of the hospital’s Medical
Staff. Dr. Bruno also is affiliated with Sisters of Charity, Buffalo
General and Women and Children’s hospitals.
