A member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, since 1992, Dr. Richard L. Collins also is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Collins earned his medical degree at UB, and completed his Internal Medicine specialty training at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston, MA.

Licensed to practice medicine in New York State and Massachusetts, Dr. Collins is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. He also is a former president of the UB Medical Alumni Association, and currently is a member of the association’s Governing Board.

Dr. Collins has delivered multiple presentations in the community on health and lifestyle topics, and also discusses executive health and lifestyle topics as a guest columnist for Business First of Buffalo, Western New York’s weekly business newspaper. In addition, he has done numerous interviews on Buffalo television and radio stations.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Collins has a particular interest in primary care, smoking cessation and life style changes. He is currently affiliated with Buffalo General Hospital.
