A member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC , since July 1999, Dr. Matthew J. Cywinski is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery.

He earned his medical degree at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and completed his specialty training in general surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Dr. Cywinski also was awarded a fellowship in colorectal surgery, and received his training at UB and Buffalo General Hospital.

He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons. He also is a member of the Medical Society of Erie County and the New York State Medical Society.

Dr. Cywinski is affiliated with Sisters of Charity, Millard Fillmore Suburban, Buffalo General and Kenmore Mercy hospitals.
