Dr. Jon L. Dusse has been a member of the Buffalo Medical Group,
PC, since 1995, and also is associated with the eye clinic at Erie
County Medical Center (ECMC). In addition, Dr. Dusse is an assistant
clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University at Buffalo (UB)
School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
He earned his medical degree at UB, and completed residencies in
family medicine and surgery at UB and hospitals affiliated with the
university. Dr. Dusse completed his specialty training in
ophthalmology at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn,
and was chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Dusse is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology,
and is a Fellow of the American academy of Ophthalmology. He is a
member of numerous professional organizations including the
Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology, American
Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Contact Lens Association
of Ophthalmologists, American Medical Association, New York State
Ophthalmological Society, the New York State and Erie County Medical
societies, and the Buffalo Ophthalmologic Society.
His special interests include small incision cataract surgery,
diabetic eye surgery, and oculoplastic surgery. He has authored or
co-authored articles and abstracts on his research.
In addition to ECMC, Dr. Dusse also is affiliated with many WNY
hospitals including Buffalo General, Kenmore Mercy, Mercy, Sisters
of Charity, Women and Children’s and Millard Fillmore Gates Circle
and Suburban.
