Dr. Eli R. Farhi has been a member of the Buffalo
Medical Group, PC, since 1998, and also is Chief of the Cardiology
Section in the Medical Service at the Buffalo Veterans
Administration Medical Center. In addition, he is an assistant
professor of cardiology at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of
Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
He is board certified in Interventional
Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
Dr. Farhi is a summa cum laude graduate of Yale
University, and earned his medical degree and a PhD in physiology at
Harvard University. He completed his internal medicine specialty
training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, and was
awarded a fellowship in cardiology and trained at Beth Israel
Hospital in Boston.
He is a member of the American Heart Association
(New York State affiliate) and serves on the organization’s Clinical
Cardiology Council and Research Committee. A Fellow in the American
College of Cardiology, Dr. Farhi is a member of the Veterans
Administration Cardiovascular Association. He is a guest manuscript
reviewer for several publications including the American Journal of
Cardiology, Cardiovascular Research and American Review of
Respiratory Disease.
Dr. Farhi has lectured locally and nationally on
a variety of cardiology and cardiovascular disease topics. He also
has authored or co-authored articles and abstracts on his research
for several cardiology publications.
In addition to the Buffalo VA Medical Center, Dr. Farhi is
affiliated with several other Western New York hospitals including
Buffalo General, Millard Fillmore Gates Circle and Suburban, Erie
County Medical Center and Sisters of Charity.
