Dr. Jaya Grandhi joined Buffalo Medical Group,
PC, in September 2010 after completing two years of fellowship training in
nephrology at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester
Medical Center (URMC), in Rochester, NY.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Grandhi earned her medical
degree at Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India. She completed
her Internal Medicine residency at Sinai-Grace Hospital/Detroit
Medical Center at Wayne State University, and then worked there as a
member of the teaching faculty and at Mercy Memorial Hospital, in
Monroe, MI, as a hospitalist. During her residency training, she
earned recognition as the best outgoing resident.
Her areas of strong interest and proficiency include peritoneal
dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, glomerular diseases
(diseases affecting the kidneys), and kidney stones.
Dr. Grandhi has authored and co-authored many research articles and
abstracts for medical journals and publications.
She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American
College of Physicians, Renal Physician Association, and National
Kidney Foundation. Dr. Grandhi is affiliated with Kaleida Health
Hospitals.
