Dr. Moneer A. Khalil joined Buffalo Medical Group, PC, July 1, 2009
as director of the BMG Department of Radiation Medicine. Board
certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Khalil had served
as Director of the Buffalo Radiation Oncology Center in
Williamsville for the last 14 years.
A native of Madison, WI, he earned his medical
degree at the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria, Egypt,
where he completed an internship and residency in Internal
Medicine. Dr. Khalil also completed residency training in general
surgery at St. Clare’s Hospital and Health Center in New York City,
and a residency in Radiation Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital and
Health Center, New York City. In addition, he received fellowship
training in Radiation Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute
where he served as acting Chief of the Department of Radiation
Oncology from July 1987 to July 1989.
Before joining Buffalo Radiation Oncology Center
in 1995, Dr. Khalil served for three years as director of Radiation
Oncology at the Sisters of Charity Hospital Seton Building.
A member of the American Society of Therapeutic
Radiologists and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Dr.
Khalil has authored or co-authored numerous articles for oncology
journals and publications.
