Dr. Shehzad S. Merchant joined Buffalo Medical Group in October 2006
after completing a fellowship in infectious diseases at University
of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He is board
certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
Dr. Merchant earned his medical degree at The Aga Khan University
Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed his internal
medicine training at St. Paul University Hospital-University of
Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
He is a member of the Infectious Disease
Society of America and American College of Physicians. Dr. Merchant
has participated in several research projects during the last 11
years, and also has authored or co-authored several articles for
medical journals and publications.
