A member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, since 1982, Dr. Herman S. Mogavero Jr., is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology. As a dermatologist he has a special interest in connective tissue diseases.

Dr. Mogavero earned his medical degree at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where he has served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine and dermatology since 1983. He did his residency in internal medicine at UB-affiliated hospitals in Buffalo, and a residency in dermatology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. He also was a fellow in immuno-dermatology at Johns Hopkins.

He was the founder of the Buffalo Medical Group Foundation Inc., and servd as chair of its Board of Directors from 1993 until this year. He also is a former chair of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Board of Directors, representing the BMG Foundation.

A member of the Board of Directors of Kaleida Health, he also serves as the organization’s Chief of Dermatology. He also is a Faculty Council Alternate in the UB Department of Dermatology, and is a member of the Patient Advocate Task Force for the American Academy of Dermatology and the AAD Association.
