Dr. Matthew E. Smith has been a member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC since 2002, and as a hospital-based physician, he provides internal medicine care for BMG inpatients at Buffalo General and Millard Fillmore Suburban hospitals.
He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association and the National Association of Inpatient Physicians.
Dr. Smith is a graduate of Ithaca College and earned his medical degree at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed his internal medicine specialty training at UB-affiliated hospitals in Western New York. During his residency, he also served as an informal teacher to medical students.
In January 2011, Dr. Smith was elected Chairman of the Buffalo
Medical Group Board of Directors.
