Irene S. Snow, MD
Medical Director
Buffalo Medical Group, PC
Specialty: Internal Medicine
Dr. Irene S. Snow joined the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, in 1988, and served as associate medical director from 1997 to 2001 before her appointment as medical director four years ago. She earned her medical degree at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and did residency training at UB-affiliated hospitals in Western New York. Dr. Snow is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Under her leadership and in conjunction with the BMG management team, the organization has grown from 60 to more than 110 physicians, and now offers services in 27 locations throughout WNY. Dr. Snow also has worked closely with her physician colleagues and other staff to enhance the quality of patient care and improve BMG patients’ overall experience. She was instrumental in helping the Buffalo Medical Group implement a “team approach” to patient care by which patients are able to receive services from a variety of specialists or sub-specialists during a single office visit.
Dr. Snow served as president of the Erie County medical Society from June 1995 to June 1996, and was only the third woman to hold that position. Currently, she is a member of the BMG Board of Directors, the American College of Physicians, the Erie County Medical Society, American Medical Association and the American College of Physician Executives, the Independent Health Association IPA Board of Directors, and the Kaleida Health Quality Council. Dr. Snow also is the Buffalo Medical Group representative with the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
During the summers of 2002-2004, Dr. Snow participated in medical missionary work in Honduras.
