Edward J. Spangenthal, MD

Dr. Edward J. Spangenthal has been a member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, since 2000, and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.

His professional interests include clinical and non-invasive Cardiology, Cardiology care of the cancer patient, Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echo, and Stress Echo.

He earned his medical degree at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Syracuse, and completed his Internal Medicine residency at University of Rochester Medical Center - Strong Memorial Hospital. Dr. Spangenthal was awarded a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases, and trained at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Spangenthal is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and has authored or co-authored articles and abstracts related to his research for various medical journals and publications.

He is affiliated with a number of Western New York hospitals including Buffalo General, Millard Fillmore Gates Circle and Suburban, and Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
