After 14 years in private practice near Boston, MA, Dr. Joseph J.
Torre joined the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, in 1991. He is board
certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American
Board of Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is a clinical assistant
professor at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Torre earned his medical degree at Boston University School of
Medicine, and he completed specialty training in Internal Medicine
and a fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Luke’s
Hospital Center in Manhattan, NY. In addition, he subsequently was a
clinical and research fellow in medicine at Massachusetts General
Hospital and the M.I.T. Arteriosclerosis Center.
His particular interests include preventive medicine and the
treatment of obesity, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, and thyroid
disorders.
Dr. Torre is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and
American College of Endocrinology. He is a member of the Endocrine
Society, the Erie County Medical Society, American Diabetes
Association, and the American Association of Clinical
Endocrinologists (AACE). In addition, he serves as chair of the
Upstate New York Chapter of AACE and is on the Board of Directors of
the national organization.
Dr. Torre is affiliated with Buffalo General Hospital and Roswell
Park Cancer Institute.
