Dr. Daniel R. Wild joined Buffalo Medical Group, PC, in July after 26 years in private practice as an orthopedic surgeon. He has been board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons since 1984.

A native of Buffalo, he earned his medical degree at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Wild completed his training in general surgery at Buffalo General Hospital, and a residency in orthopedic surgery at UB and university affiliated hospitals.

A well-known and highly respected general orthopedic specialist, Dr. Wild diagnoses and treats a broad variety of injuries, conditions and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.  He has extensive experience and expertise in hip, knee, shoulder, arm, ankle, foot, and carpal tunnel surgery as well as other orthopedic procedures.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons, Erie County Medical Society, New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Western New York Orthopedic Society. He is a past president of the latter organization.

Dr. Wild is affiliated with several Western New York hospitals including Buffalo General, Millard Fillmore Gates Circle, Millard Fillmore Suburban, St. Joseph’s and Medina Memorial.
