Dr.
Victor Yosuico joined Buffalo Medical Group, PC, in February 2007
after completing his Internal Medicine training at the University at
Buffalo School of Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences.
He is board
certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in medical
oncology and hematology.
A
native of the Philippines, he earned his medical degree at the
College of Medicine of the University of the Philippines. He
trained in Internal Medicine at the University of the
Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH), and subsequently
came to Buffalo, NY, completing his clinical fellowship training in
Medical Oncology and Hematology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in
1995.
Prior
to returning to Buffalo, Dr. Yosuico was in active practice at the
UP-PGH Medical Center in Manila, where he also served as Associate
Clinical Professor and Training Officer for the Medical Oncology
Fellowship Program, and Vice Chairman for Research at the Cancer
Institute, UP-PGH Medical Center. During that same period, he
chaired the Neoplastic Diseases Technical Research Committee for the
Task Force on Philippine Guidelines on Periodic Health Examination.
He also earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology
at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine.
He is
a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the
Philippine College of Physicians, Philippine Society of Medical
Oncologists, and the Philippine Society of Oncology. He has also
served as a member of the Philippine Subspecialty Board of Medical
Oncology.
Dr.
Yosuico has authored or co-authored numerous book chapters,
abstracts, and articles for medical journals and publications.
Aside from clinical oncology, his particular interests are patient
preferences and patient outcomes research.
He is
affiliated with Buffalo General Hospital.
