The Buffalo Medical Group’s Endocrinology Department provides consultations for all aspects of adult endocrinologic and metabolic disorders. These include Diabetes Mellitus (Types 1, 2 and gestational), Metabolic Syndrome, Lipid disorders, hypertension, osteoporosis, and disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal and reproductive glands.
In addition, the Buffalo Medical Group now has a pediatric endocrinologist who specializes in juvenile onset diabetes.
The Endocrinology Department specializes in preventive medicine and nutrition, and works closely with a certified dietician/nutritionist and diabetes educator. The Endocrinology staff also has extensive experience and skill in the supervision of insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring, as well as fine needle aspiration and biopsy of thyroid nodules.
The clinical staff for adult services includes three physicians who are Board Certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism, and are actively involved on the
state and national level in the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
Adult endocrinology services are available at three BMG locations: 85 High
Street in Buffalo; 295 Essjay Road in Williamsville, and at the Seton Medical Office Building, adjacent to Sisters of Charity Hospital on Main Street in Buffalo.
Endocrinology Services are available Monday through Friday at 85 High
Street, Buffalo, 295 Essjay Road, Williamsville, and at 2121 Maint Street,
Buffalo.
Appointments require a physician referral, and may be scheduled by
calling 630-1000.
