Two board certified urologists and one who is board eligible, provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services in the Buffalo Medical Group Urology Department.
Recently, a female urologist joined BMG and specializes in endoscopy,
laparoscopy, microscopy, robotics, and open surgical techniques.
Among the services offered is cystoscopy to examine the bladder and urinary tract for structural abnormalities or obstructions such as tumors or stones; varicocelectomy for management of male infertility; vasectomy, hydrocelectomy, circumcision, and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, ureteroscopy and laser treatment for kidney stone conditions.
Our specialists offer medical/surgical treatment of prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer, including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.
Medical/surgical treatment of enlarged prostate using microwave thermal therapy, green light laser treatment, and transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is performed in the office as well as at local hospitals.
The Urology Department’s specialists also offer medical/surgical treatment and management of male and female urinary incontinence, using such services as complex cystometrogram to assess the function of the bladder.
The department operates its own Urology Day Treatment Center at 495 International Drive in Williamsville, where the urologists perform most of their office procedures.
Patients also are seen at three other locations: 295 Essjay Road, Williamsville, and 85 High Street, Buffalo, Monday through Friday, and at 3345 Southwestern Boulevard, Orchard Park, on Mondays.
