A member of the Buffalo Medical Group, PC, since 1990, Dr.
Michael J. Battaglia is board certified by the American Board of
Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to his practice with the
Buffalo Medical Group, he also is an associate professor of
neurology at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and
Biomedical Sciences.
He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at the New
England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his specialty
training in neurology and also was awarded a fellowship in neurology
at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. During his final year of
neurology training, he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Battaglia has extensive training and experience in the
evaluation and management of neuromuscular disease using
electrodiagnostic techniques (EMG examination). This includes
expertise in treating such disorders as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American
Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, the Ohio
Osteopathic Association, Medical Society of the State of New York,
and the Physician Committee for Responsible Medicine.
