Dr. Yijun Cheng joined Buffalo Medical Group, PC, in July 2007 after completing a clinical fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

He is Board Certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine.  

A native of China, Dr. Cheng earned his medical degree at the Second Military Medical University Shanghai, China. In addition, he received a PhD in cancer biology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He completed internal medicine specialty training in University at Buffalo-affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Cheng is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.He has authored or co-authored several research articles for medical journals and publications.

Dr. Cheng is affiliated with Buffalo General, Millard Fillmore Suburban and Sisters of Charity hospitals.
