The Allergy/Immunology Division is staffed by two physicians who are board-certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology. Both are Fellows of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Reisman is a Master of the American College of Physicians, and a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
The Division’s specialists have extensive experience and expertise in diagnosing and treating allergic diseases as well as diseases related to immune abnormalities. Common examples include such respiratory conditions as rhinitis (hay fever), sinusitis and asthma, and skin reactions such as eczema, hives and contact allergy, and allergic reactions (often severe), related to drugs, food and insect stings. In particular, the
division’s physicians have special expertise in performing and interpreting skin patch tests that are used to diagnose contact-induced rashes, and in diagnosing and treating insect sting allergic reactions.
A broad range of medical treatment is offered by the division, and includes traditional medications
and newer cutting-edge therapies as a result of newer concepts and understanding of the mechanisms of allergic diseases. The Allergy/Immunology Division staff provides evaluation and treatment for infants, children and adults.
The Allergy/Immunology Division also includes a staff of well-trained professional nurses who perform diagnostic allergy puncture and patch tests.
Allergy/Immunology services are available at two locations, 295 Essjay Road in Williamsville, and 85 High Street in Buffalo.
Appointments for either site can be made by calling 630-1130, or 630-1000.
