Robert J. Taylor, M.D.
Otolaryngology (ENT)
Why did you decide to go into medicine?
I have always been fascinated by the human body and by the opportunity physicians have to help people through difficult and sometimes life-changing health concerns. Although I initially explored other areas of study, I ultimately realized that medicine best aligned with both my interests and my desire to serve others. While reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, I was especially struck by its message about pursuing one’s calling and following the path that feels right. That idea helped affirm my decision to pursue a career in medicine.
When I’m not working, you can find me…
Spending time with my wife and our four children. Family is very important to me, and I enjoy making the most of our time together.
To me, treating people well means…
Listening carefully, treating every patient with respect and compassion, and making sure they feel heard and understood. I believe excellent medical care involves more than diagnosing and treating a condition—it also means building trust and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their care.
