Dr. Rajitha Mallela, a rheumatologist, joined Buffalo Medical
Group, PC, November 1, 2010, and has offices at 85 High Street,
Buffalo, and in Lockport at 16 Davison Court.
Dr. Mallela is proficient in all aspects of rheumatology, and has a
special interest in rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, she recently completed
fellowship training in rheumatology at Strong Memorial Hospital, and
the University at Rochester Medical Center (URMC) in Rochester, NY.
Dr. Mallela is a graduate of Kurnool Medical College in India where
she completed a two-year internship that included responsibility for
comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. While in training at
Kurnool Medical College, Dr. Mallela was recognized as the top
student in her class in the area of Preventive and Social Medicine.
She also received a certificate of merit in Obstetrics and
Gynecology.
Prior to her fellowship training in rheumatology, Dr. Mallela
completed a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at the
University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
She has served as a co-investigator in gouty arthritis research, and
delivered presentations at several national medical meetings.
Dr. Mallela is a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
